It’s been some time since I last got some jewellery made and out there in the world. What with the bead-making, the silvering, a rare trip away, and some other things I can’t actually recall right now (and wouldn’t interest anyone terribly), life has been rather full – for me, at least. But, after I’d got all the beads from the last update sent out, I rewarded myself with a few days of non-stressy, non-torchy, jewellery making. Heaven… It seems I’m still struggling to make anything other than earrings. Whilst I say that this jewellery making spell was supposed to be un-stressy, I did have a little catalogue of other ‘things to do’ nagging away at me. It seems that I couldn’t set my head to settling down and designing a whole necklace, and I failed to make any bracelets either… That’s now a ‘thing to do’ in itself. I did manage one necklace…
(I’m still torn over which of these different displays works best, and which I should use as my main photo on Etsy….)
Now, on to the earrings….
(There is a real and present danger that the pair above are going to be whisked out of my shop and into my ears.)
(Hate that blue-ness! Stooopid seasonal light!)
That’s the lot! What’s more, they are all listed here on Etsy!
Could this be my briefest blog post ever? …
Quite possibly! I listed all these on Etsy this afternoon, along with this bracelet…
… which may hold more whimsy than I can stand. But, when I connected the wee face with the ‘eyed’ Indo glass, I just couldn’t stop myself!
Just a quickie to share the stack of new pieces that I just listed on Etsy. There’s a crop of new stacked totem type pendants. I haven’t made any for a while; they’re such fun to design.
This last one – the most mini – may be my favourite. I foresee more being made along the same lines. Here’s a more substantial piece, which I’m also rather taken with.
And now the earrings. First of all, this trio, each pair featuring these lovely long sticks/spikes which I made when I was doing all my recent glaze-y experiments.
I also broke out some amazing lampwork beads that I’ve been a’hoarding. My hoarding seems to be at its worst when it comes to lampwork. These ones are very gloooooowy.
And finally, a last few pairs with nothing to link them but loveliness!
Several pairs have already skidaddled out of the shop, but the rest are available here.
I really should have written and shared this post a week or so ago, but I got sidetracked with the bead shop update (re. which: Thanks to everyone who shopped! I’ve just posted everything out!). I have yet to share these earrings that I added to the shop a week or so ago. So, this is a quick post to do just that! A couple of pairs have sold but the rest are available on Etsy.
Finally, to mix things up, a lone bracelet –
I must make more new bracelets and necklaces – a job for this weekend, I think. Anyhow, for more pics and info on these, head to the shop. Ciao for now!
Just an ultra quickie to share a crop of earrings that I’ve just listed on Etsy.
The more I look at these, the more I love the charms – so different and so cool. Yep, the more I look at them, the more I can be content with the possibility that they won’t sell.
I have similar feelings towards these, especially the lampwork – so soft… and blueberry-y…
These last ones really need a better photo to capture their loveliness. I do love me a skinny earring…
Plenty of neutrals in this batch… just so hard to resist…
And that’s it for this little lot. As I said, they’re available here. In other news, I’ve actually taken some photos of my silver stuff so I’ll back back to share some of that some time soon. Happy weekending!
Well, happy new year… sorta. I am planning some more ‘proper’ posts with words and things in the weeks to come. I mean, planning. I have soooo many new things to share. I’ve just finished a real jewellery-making spreeeeeee! There’s the usual crop of earrings – my default, really. But I’ve also made around six bracelets and around eight necklaces. I find both more difficult. Necklaces have always been a bit of a challenge, but, I think, I actually really rather like some of them. Now I’ve said that, they’ll probably sit stubbornly in my shop and I’ll end up not liking them so. This making frenzy came at the end of a bead-making marathon. I spaced out the making of the greenware, interspersing it with making jewellery, but once it got to the glazing stage, it was glaze glaze glaze, day in, day out. I decided to put off listing them until February, when folk will have a bit more money, I hope. I haven’t done the photos yet, but here’s a little teaser. (A bit of a blurry teaser, taken with my phone….)
This mound of earring pairs doesn’t look as large as it actually was. They’re now all strung into sets: eight sets with six pairs each. Anyway, I’ll be back with more bead images and information about dates and times for the update nearer the time. If you have requested a custom order, I’ll be in touch in the next few days.
I photographed all the new jewellery today. It was freeeeezing. It took a couple of hours and by the end of it, I could barely hit the camera button. I’m just about to set to on the selecting and editing, but I do have some things to share here today. The following are some of the first earrings I made this year. I listed them a couple of weeks ago and have shared them elsewhere. But, you know, I like to share everything here at some point or other, if only for my own record. Some of these have sold; the rest are available int’shop.
Whoops! I went and made all the earrings. I started drafting this post a week ago and have been meaning to add all the bead makers and links. Instead of doing that I’ve been making yet more jewellery. I’m building up a backlog of blog posts that I’m needing to put out there. So, I’m just going to publish this as is. Please forgive me for the lack of links! These have all been listed on Etsy.
Here’s another link to the shop. Ta-ra for now.
So, I managed to build up a little stockpile of earrings, even though I’m supposed to be working on new beads (they’re coming… soon… ish!). I woke up at 4.30 this morning and sat out the half-light drafting listings, waiting until the kiln was cool enough to go and open. I just blitzed all the listings today and these all now available on Etsy.
