I’m doing my first craft fair of the year this Sunday. It seems an age since the last one, which was is early December. I’m not sure how many customers there’ll be, given the weather and the state of people’s finances. Still, I’ve been busy making new stock.
(large lampwork bead - Moogin; small lampwork beads - Puffafish; ceramic flowers - Captured Moments; enamel bead and cap - Oregon Made Jewelry)
(ceramic lentil - Golem; beaded bead - Malin de Koning; sunspots beads - me)
(lampwork beads - Puffafish)
(polymer houses - me)
(ceramic beads, tips and links - Scorched Earth; ceramic bead - Happy Fallout; polymer house - me)
(ceramic puffin - Scorched Earth, large lampwork bead - Hanni Heibloem; smaller lampwork bead - Glass Bead Art)
(ceramic urchin - Blueberribeads)
(ceramic cloud - Grubbi; faceted polymer beads - me)
I’m hoping this will be a lonely cloud on Sunday. I see I’ve made quite a lot in the last few days. I think I’m trying to postpone getting all the stall stuff out and sorting all the dull tasks that need to be done. Anyway, if you happen to be in the Southwest this weekend and fancy visiting a quality artisan market and Flea, do come along to Frome. I’ll be stationed on Catherine Hill, from 10am - 2pm.
Oh Claire what can I say but…….your are AMAZING!!
I love reading your Blog posts and seeing your wonderful designs, the beads and components you use are truly stunning, I love your own beads you use and your Designs are just unique and just gorgeous.
You are a massive inspiration to me and when I say that I don’t mean I would ever copy your designs lol.
You have such an eye for colour combinations and I wish you luck on your first Craft Fair of the year, selling your Jewellery and if you sell your Beads also you should have a long line of people to serve!!
Love all the Jewellery above especially the Sari Silk (is it) Earrings and the first Bracelet with that gorgeous Moogin bead…
Oh, thank you Emma - that’s too kind, really! I’m glad you enjoy the blog - I don’t have any way of telling how many people actually read the thing so it’s nice to know I’m not waffling away to myself. Yes, it is sari silk - and chiffon - in the earrings. They’re similar to pairs I’ve made in the past which seem to be popular (fatal last words). Anyhow, thanks again!
I started a Blog and wondered that myself but I find it sometimes therapeutic waffling to one’s self hee hee whether it be virtual or not…..no wonder them Earrings do fab for you they are great!!
I try not to think about it, or I’d never do it!
Lovely things as usual! Best of luck for lots of keen punters at your upcoming market.
There are some things here that I may just need to have in my life! Kathryn x
Well, I’ll be conveniently placed, Kathryn! x
Wow. I really am stunned here Claire (although I’ve seen your jewellery before - I really shouldn’t be!). Everything here is absolutely amazing - totally inspired and inspiring, individual and uniquely and recognisably you all at once. I love the mixture of textures, shapes and colours you get into each and every piece - there is so much to look at with each one! Honestly, sometimes it makes me want to throw over my beads and not bother when I see your amazing work - mine seems so polite and ‘safe’ in comparison……I need to push the envelope more! Keep up the absolutely amazing and truly inspiring work. Couldn’t pick a favourite here if you paid me!!
Well, that’s the silliest thing I’ve heard in some time. As if my stuff is anything near as good as yours! I certainly wouldn’t think of your jewellery as ‘safe’. The problem I risk is making things that people won’t buy because they think they won’t wear it lots - certainly with necklaces. Anyway, thanks lots for saying nice things - I’ve been having a bit of a low-confidence spell lately!
so many elegant and projects, i love your earrings!!congrats!
